On behalf of the International Governing Board (IGB), Management, and Staff, I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the UNESCO International Centre for Biotechnology, Nsukka, Nigeria UNESCO ICB Nsukka). The Centre is one of several Category 2 Centres and Institutes (C2Cs) under the auspices of UNESCO, which are a global network of institutions of excellence in the Organization’s domains of competence. Category 2 centres and institutes contribute to the execution of UNESCO’s programme through capacity building; the exchange of information in a particular discipline; theoretical and experimental research; and advanced training.
